Total number of students = 50
Number of students absent = $\frac{1}{10}$ of total students
= $\frac{1}{10} \times 50 = 5$

Student involed in project = $\frac{1}{5}$ of total students
= $\frac{1}{5} \times 50 = 10$

Number of students present = Total number of students $-$ (students absent + students involved in school project)
= 50 $-$ (5 + 10) = 35

Thus, out of 50 students, 35 students are present in the class.
