Total amount $= R s . 3500$
Amount saved $= \frac{1}{3} \times 3500 = R s . 1166.67$
Remaining amount $= 3500 - 1166.67 = R s . 2333.33$
Given that
Amount spent on goods $= 50 %$ of the remaining amount
Amount spent on rent $= 20 %$ of the remaining amount
Therefore,
Amount spent on goods $= \frac{50}{100} \times 2333.33 = R s . 1166.665$
Amount spent on rent $= \frac{20}{100} \times 2333.33 = R s . 466.666$
Hence the amount spent on goods and house rents are $R s . 1166.665$ and $R s . 466.666$ respectively.
