Out of atoms and molecules, which can exist independently? Why?

Solution
Most element atoms lack an octet and strive to achieve a noble gas configuration.
This is why they react and make bonds, and they cannot exist alone.
Whereas molecules are groups of atoms that have formed bonds.
For example, Oxygen is an atom but it can not be represented as an atom rather it will form a covalent bond with another oxygen atom and form a molecule.
