Out of coal and petroleum which is a better fuel & why.

There is choice according to requirement
Coal because it is cheap and present in large quantity . Hence used in industrial purpose. But it's efficiency is too low and produce lots of pollution .
Petroleum because it is more efficient but it's too costly so it's not used in industry but used in vehicles because it cause less pollution
