Out of CuI2 and Cu2I2 , which is more stable and why?

Dear Student, Cu2I2 is the more stable comparing to the CuI2. Because in Cu2I2 oxidation state of Cu is +1, so Cu loosing the one electron to get stable electron configuration 3d104s0.Regards
