Out of the following distillates of coal, which one readily undergo combustion?
Coal gas
Coal gas is a gaseous mixture of hydrogen, methane, carbon monoxide and non-combustible gases such as carbon dioxide and nitrogen. It is obtained from the destructive distillation of coal. This gas readily burns with oxygen, i.e., it readily undergoes combustion reaction. The other distillates of coal are coke and coal tar which do not burn easily.
