Outline a scheme to separate the constituents of mixture containing Iron fillings, common salt and sand.

To separate a mixture of iron fillings , sand , salt we use the following steps
1. magnetic separation- iron fillings being magnetic in nature will get separated by use of magnets, salt and sand will remain behnd
2. Dissolve the remaining mixture in water . sand will settle at the bottom and salt will dissolve in water. Sand can be separated by filtration.
3. Salt can be recovered from the mixture by evaporating the mixture , water will evaporate and salt will be left behind.
