Solution

The correct option is C Complex II
During oxidative phosphorylation, the NADH and FADH2 produced during glycolysis, oxidative decarboxylation of pyruvate and Krebs cycle get oxidised and release elctrons. These electrons are transferred via the various complexes present on the inner mitochondrial membrane of mitochondria to oxygen.

The energy of electrons is utilised to pump protons into the inter-membrane space and there is increase in thier concentration. These protons pass through ATP synthase and ATP is synthesised.

During oxidation of NADH, the electrons released pass through complex I, III and IV. Complex II is not involved during oxidation of NADH , rather is involved during oxidation of FADH2.
