The correct option is B Sickle-cell anaemia
Sickle-cell anaemia is a genetic disorder. It arises due to the replacement of glutamic acid by valine at the sixth position of the haemoglobin chain. As a result, the shape of the RBC changes to sickle-shaped from biconcave. These RBCs cannot pass through the blood vessels and have a tendency to clot, resulting in anaemia. Clogged blood vessels reduces blood circulation due to which tissues becomes deprived of oxygen.
