A. Adenohypophysis that is anterior pituitary gland synthesise and release hormones which are - growth hormone (GH), thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH), adenocorticotrophic hormone (ACTH), melanocyte stimulating hormone (MSH), prolactin (PRL), follicle stimulating hormone (FSH) and luteinizing hormone (LH).
B. Neurohypophysis that is posterior pituitary gland no hormones are synthesised here, they are synthesised in hypothalamus.
