Solution

Dear Student,

1. A needle made of steel can be magnetized bu rubbing with a magnet end to end. The ferromagnetic domains inside the needle that were randomly oriented are aligned to a direction after rubbing it with a magnet, making the needle a magnet.

2. No all metals do not corrode at the same rate.

3. In churning of milk the paddle wheel induces centrifugal force on the milk and the fats (butter) is separated from the emulsion (milk).

4. Rust is Fe2O3. Corrosion/rust affects the surface of the metals. It disfigures the metal and destroys the metallic lustre. It decreases the tensile strength of the metal and renders it useless.
