Biodegradable waste as such do not harm the environment in long run. However Non-biodegradable waste can destroy the basic composition of our earth and environment and can be detrimental to the survival of life on earth. Pollutants such as plastics would decrease the fertility of soil and would lead in the reduction of production of food. Increase in certain amount of gases in the atmosphere would led to climate changes and can be catastrophic for our earth.
