Insulin and glucagon are hormones that are produced by beta and alpha cells of pancreas respectively, control the blood sugar level
Both these hormones are secreted in response to the level of sugar in blood.. Insulin is secreted when the level of blood sugar increases, it stimulate liver for the conversion of more glucose into glycogen.
When the blood sugar decrease to a certain level, this hormone is secreted by pancreas to stimulate liver cells which promotes the conversion of glycogen into glucose.
Adrenalin hormones is secreted during emergency by adrenal gland and is also known as flight or fight hormone.
Thyroid hormones, triiodothyronine and thyroxine secreted by thyroid glands regulate the metabolism of fat, protein and carbohydrtaes.
