1. Density of oil depends on temperature and decreases with increase in temperature .

Hence the unused oil are denser than the used oil because of change in physical and chemical materials which are added during the use of oil at increasing temperature.

2. When water is added to a used oil the water will be suspended in the middle as the used oil is less denser than used oil and so they allow water to come to middle layer but not let them to sink.

3. When water is added to an unused oil ,it will sink because oil is less denser than water and so it will float.
