1. It a Wurtz reaction. When propyl chloride reacts with sodium it gives n-hexane

Hydrogenation of isobutylene gives isobutane (2-methylpropane)

2. Combustion of propane gives carbon dioxide and water

CH3-CH2-CH3 + 6O2 --------------------> 3CO2 + 4H2O
