1] U are given a broken scale with the reading from 1.3 cm.How will u measure the lenth of straight line using the scale?

1) The measurement of length with the broken scale can be done as follows,

1. Put the broken scale or ruler along the edge of the object that you want to measure in such a way that any visible mark coincides with one end of the object and another end lies on another mark.
2. Now, pen down the reading shown on the ruler at the both its end.
3. Now, the difference between the two readings gives the length of the object.

If you wish to keep the object at the broken point that is at 1.3 cm then the length of the object can be calculated by subtracting the final mark shown on the scale and the standard mark (1.3 cm).

2) The non-living things that have characteristic of living things are:
1. Glaciers and Icicles (a hanging piece of ice) grows
2. Crystal grows
4. Lamp uses energy
