1-Constituents of natural gas:
Methane-95%Ethane-2.5%Propane-0.2%Butane-0.06%Pentane-0.02%Small amounts of nitrogen, carbon dioxide, hydrogen sulphide and water.
2- Constituents of petroleum:
Petroleum gas is a gaseous mixture of hydrocarbons having formulae CH4 to C4H10. It is the gaseous fraction obtained during the fractional distillation of petroleum. Butane is the main constituent of petroleum gas.
3- ​A fossil fuel is a natural fuel such as coal or gas, formed in the geological past from the remains of living organisms which have been obtained from the earth or the oceans etc. Now, since coal is obtained from natural resources like from mines, so it is considered as fossil fuel.
