Composition of lymph varies according to the sites where it is found. Lymph which is released from lymph nodes is rich in lymphocytes. Similarly, lymph which is found in digestive system is rich in triglycerides or fats. It also acts as a reservoir of water, salts, and digested food. Whereas the composition of blood is :-

Blood plasma- 54.3%. It contains proteins, amino acids, nitrogenous wastes, nutrients, gases, electrolytes.

Red Blood Cells-45%

White Blood Cells- 0.7 %

Platelets
