A 100 watt electric bulb is lighted for 2 hours daily and four 40 watt bulbs are lighted for 4 hours everyday.Calculate the energy consumed(kwh)in 30 days?

We know that E = P x t

For four 40W bulb in 30 days,

E = (40/1000 kW) x 4 x 4 x 30 = 19.2 kWh

For 1 bulb of 100 W in 30 days,

E' = (100/1000 kW) x 1 x 2 x 30 = 6 kWh

So,

Total energy consumed = 19.2 + 6 = 25.2 kWh
