Given values:

Mass of the man = 50 Kg;
Mass of the Load = 20 Kg;
Total mass, m = 50 + 20 = 70 Kg;
Total no of steps = 20;
Height of each step = 0.25 meter;
Total height = total no. of steps x height of one step = 20 x 0.25 = 5 meter;

Hence,

Work done by the man for climbing = mgh
W = 70 x 9.8 x 5
W = 3430 Joule

Work done = 3430 J
