B, atomic number 12 = Mg

C,atomic number 17 = Cl

D, atomic number 19 = K

1) All of them can form ionic bond.

2) Except Cl no one can from covalent bond. This is due to the fact that others are metals.

3) With A,

heat

2 Li + H2 --------> 2 Li+H-

With C,

H2 + Cl2 ----------> 2 HCl

4) Metals= Li, Mg, K

Non metals = Cl

Hope you got it!
