Let, x be the distance between the bat and the obstacle. Sound travelled twice between bat and obstacle, firstly from bat to obstacle and then reflected sound from obstacle to bat. Thus,

2x=30 x .15= 4.5

=> x= 4.5/2 = 2.25 m
