(1) Here,

Initial speed, u = 0

Acceleration, a = 9.8 m/s2

Time, t = 0.5 s

Using, v = u + at

= v = 0 + (9.8)(0.5)

Hence, speed of car, v = 4.9 m/s
(3) Distance covered by car is given by the formula :
Distance = Speed X time = 4.9 X 0.5 = 2.45 m

(2) Average Speed = total distance travelledtotal time taken = 2.450.5 = 4.9 m/s
