a coil is insulated copper wire is connected to a galvanometer. what would happen if a bar magnet is : i) pushed into coil ii) withdrawn from inside the coil iii) held stationary inside the coli?

1. When the bar magnet is pushed into the coil the momentary deflection is observed in the galvanometer. This deflection indicates that momentary current is produced in the coil.

2. In pulling the magnet out of the coil, the deflection is indicated in the opposite direction.It indicates the current in the coil is in opposite direction.

3. When the magnet is held stationary inside the coil there is no deflection in the galvanometer. It indicated that no current is produced in the coil.
