"A democratic government is an
accountable form of government"
explain
Dear Student
Answer to your question is as follows ;
In democracies, the leaders in the Parliament are actually the representatives of the people.So the political leaders are accountable to the electorate, since elections held periodically make it likely to reward or punish them for their actions at the voting booth.The freedom of speech and expression guaranteed in democracy also makes it possible to criticize the Government. Thus, the people or the citizens are the real sovereigns and the Government remains answerable to them.
