1.The set of three bases together forms a codon. A codon codes for a particular amino acids. These codons determine the amino acid sequence of a protein.
2.There are three termination codons such as UAA, UAG, UGA that terminates translation of mRNA. Whenever a ribosome encounters a termination codon, the polypeptide chain is released.
