According to the given question the body has displacement in the opposite direction of force hence the angle made between the force and the displacement is 180⁰ (since the force vector and the displacement vector is in opposite direction to each other). hence now using the formula of work done W = F D cos180⁰W = F D (-1) (cos180⁰= -1)
W = -FD joule.
