A helium-filled balloon rises to a certain height and then halts. Why?

Dear Student!!

Because at that point density of helium gas inside the balloon become equal to the density of air out side the balloon. So there is no upward force ( buoyant force by air) acting on the balloon and the balloon will remains at the same height.
