Solution

Answer :
Given :
Cost of a table = Rs . 70
And
Cost of a chair = Rs. 45
Let total number of tables = x
And
Total number of chairs = 13 - x
As given total number of chair and table = 13

And from second equation we get

70 ( x ) + 45 ( 13 - x ) = 760

70x + 585 - 45x = 760

25x = 760 - 585

25x = 175

x = 7

Total number of tables purchased by a man = 7
And
Total number of chairs purchased by a man = 13- 7 = 6 ( Ans )
