(1) Its potential energy at the top would be
P = mgh
or
P = 10 X 10 X 0.5
thus,
P = 50 J
(2) Its kinetic energy at bottom would be
KE = PE at the top
so,
KE = 50J
(3) Ot velocity would be
v2 = 2KE/m
or
v = (2X50 / 10)1/2
thus,
v = 3.16 m/s
