If concentrated solution of salt will be put on a peel of rheo leaf, it would be observed that the rheo leaf will shrink due to the process of osmosis. This is because when the solution outside the leaf will be concentrated, the water tends to move from the region of low solute concentration to the region of high solute concentration. As a result the water flows out from the leaf making the rheo leaf to shrink.
