Question

a resistor [R] and a capacitor [C] are connected to a battery source [V]. an ammeter [A] is connected in series with this ciruit. the circuit is as follows : R---C---V---A---R

what is the reading in the ammeter for this ciruit ?

the current would be zero under two conditions
1) if the source is DC since the capaciator doesnot allow DC to pass through it so the ammeter reading would be zero
2) even is AC is applied and so the voltmeter is having a high resistance and is in series with ammeter so the net current would nearly be zero
