  1. How many mole of water does it conain?
  2. How many molecules of water does it conatin?
  3. How many atoms of oxygen are present in the give sample?

Solution

18 gram of H2O = 1 mole of Water

1.8 gm of H2O = 0.1 mole of water

1 mole of H2O = 6.023 x 1023 water molecules

Therefore 0.1 moles of H2O = 6.023 x 1022 water molecules.

= 6.023 x 1022 oxygen atoms
