Solution

Snake venom consists of a variety of peptide toxins and neurotoxins which acts on the nervous system of the animal and kill it. The snake produces and stores venom in a particular part of the body. However, if this posion is released to other parts of snake, it may also die of its own poison. When the animal is eaten by the snake, certain enzymes which are present in the snake's stomach denatures the toxin and make it inactive. This is the reason why snake is not affected by that venom.
