Solution

Earth is having 200 times more (g = 9.81 m/s^2 = 32.2 ft/s^2) gravitational force than moon. Thus, force of attraction due to the earth's gravitational force is 200 times more than that of moon.
Therefore an object moving against gravitational force of earth needs more energy to escape or to leave earth's gravitational field as compared with the same with moon.
