Solution

Add a few drops of phenolphthalein indicator to both the beakers. The acid solution will remain colourless whereas the basic solution will turn pink. Similarly, add few drops of liquids from both beakers to turmeric powder. The basic solution will turn turmeric powder red whereas the yellow colour of turmeric powder will not change on adding acid.
