A volume of 4g of solid is 15cm3. if the density of water i 1g/cm3 will the solid sink or float? why?
Given:
mass of the solid = 4g
volume of the solid = 15 cm3
density = mass / volume
= 4 / 15
=0.267 gm/cm3
Now we know the density of the water is 1 gm/cc that means density of the solid is less than that of water which means it will float!
