Solution

The colour of zinc granule changed due to the following reaction:
Zn(s) + CuSO4(aq) Cu(s) + ZnSO4(aq)white reddish-brown
Zinc is more reactive than copper. So, it will displace copper from copper sulphate solution. The blue colour of the solution will fade away and a reddish-brown layer of copper will be deposited on zinc granule.
