Newton's third law states that every action has an equal and opposite reaction at the point of contact. This means, if you push a box with your hand, the box will push your hand back. So why does the box move and you don't? hmm.

As there is friction between your feet and the floor, it provides an equal and opposite reaction again to our body, due to which you do not move.

But, on the box, there is not sufficient friction to provide an equal reaction, so the box moves forward. This is explained by newton's second law. F =ma
