The aftermath measures of 2014 Jammu and Kashmir floods included the following:
82 aircraft and helicopters, 10 battalions of Border Security Force,329 columns of Indian Army and 300 boats were pressed in the service of the rescue operations
Indian army along with Border Security Force and National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) evacuated over 200,000 people from different regions of Jammu and Kashmir.
Financial assistance to the tune of several hundred crores were put in by the Central government and the various state governments.
Since the Jammu & Kashmir floods were a result of rampant urbanization, climate change that led to unprecedented and intense rains complicated by lack of preparedness, the call for a national action plan to forecasting floods has grown stronger.
