Solution

The poem 'The Seven Ages' draws a scene parallel to that of a stage as in for a theatrical performance. The entire world, as a metaphor, is talked about as a 'stage' where all the men and women are merely players. People arrive and depart with passage of time. However, only one man stays constant on the stage, playing numerous roles all throughout his life. This life of man is divided into seven phases just as a play might be classified into seven acts.
