Parts of zinc by weight = 3
Total parts of copper and zinc in alloy = (2 + 3) = 5
Amount of alloy to be produced = 500 kg
So total amount of copper required to produce 500 kg of alloy = $\frac{500}{5}\times 2=200$ kg
