Question

An object is placed between two plane mirrors inclined at an angle of 50o. Find the number of images formed.

Open in App
Solution

When two plane mirrors are kept at an angle θ with each other, number of images that can be formed is given by,

n = (360/θ) – 1

When θ = 50o,

n = 360/50 – 1

=> n = 7.2 – 1 = 6.2

Thus, the number of image formed is 6.
