Solution

Suppose x be the MRP of the book.
Price of the discounted book at 25% = x-x×25100 = 3x4
Since the book store offers an additional discount of 20% on a discounted book.
So net price of the book = 3x4-3x4×20100 = 3x4-3x20 = 12x20 = 3x5
Therefore net price of the book is 35 of the MRP of the book or 0.6 of the MRP of the book.
