1) People in ancient times travelled from one place to another, mainly in search of livelihood, by handling trade to other places, and to secure a perfect shelter that could protect them from natural calamities like earthquake, floods etc

2) Sometimes, scholars too travelled in order to spread education and knowledge to people living in nearby villages and towns

3) By this way the people gained knowledge, adventure, and new ideas were shared among them. Moreover, new places were discovered by this movement.
