Ananya has currency notes of denominators Rs 500, rs 100 and Rs 50 respectively. The ratio of the number of these notes is 2:3:5. The total cash with Ananya is Rs 31,000. How many notes of each denomination does she have?

Let the number of currency notes of denominations Rs 500, Rs 100 and Rs 50 be 2x, 3x and 5x respectively.

Also, 500(2x) + 100(3x) + 50(5x) = Rs 31000

Or, 10x + 3x + 2.5x = 310

Or, 15.5x = 310

Or, x = 20

Notes of denominations Rs 500, Rs 100 and Rs 50 will be 40, 60 and 100 respectively.
