(i) Caste system is defined as the groups of people divided on the basis birth, occupation, wealth, religion, etc.
(ii) 1) Every person is equal before law irrespective of being rich or poor
2) Every person has access to all public places
3) Untouchability has been eradicated.
4) Nobody can be differentiated against based on race, caste, religion, etc.
(iii) 1) The Civil Rights Act of 1964 banned discrimination on the basis of religion, race, or national origin.
2) It also specified that all schools would be open to African–American children and that they were not required to attend separate schools started for them exclusively.
3) However, in spite of this act, most of the African–Americans remained to be among the poorest in the country.
4) Most African- American children were able to attend only government schools that had badly qualified teachers and less facilities.
