Solution

Sound is produced when object vibrates. Therefore, if an object vibrates on its own position or moves to and fro then the oscillation causes a periodic disturbance in the surrounding air or any other elastic medium that radiates forward in straight lines in the form of a sound wave. Thus, there is no any displacement in particle during vibration.
