Question

QUE-> a particle is moving around x-axis its position as a function of time

X=AT+B

Where A=2.1 m/s B=2.8m

Dtrmine th displacement of particl during T1= 3sec and T2=5sec calculate the

average velocity during this time period and the magnitude of instantaneous velocity at t=5sec

Open in App
Solution

given:

X = AT + B

here

A = 2.1 m/s

B = 2.8 m

now, at T = T1 = 3 secs, X will be

X = X1 = 2.1x3 + 2.8

or

X1 = 9.1 m

at T = T2 = 5 secs, X will be

X = X2 = 2.1x5 + 2.8

or

X2 = 13.3 m

the average velocity will be

V = dX / dt = (2.1x2 + 2.8) / 2

or

V = 3,5 m/s

instantaneous velocity at T= 5 secs will be

V' = X2 / T2 = 13.3/5

or

V' = 2.66 m/s
