Calculate Formula Unit mass for Zinc Oxide, Sodium Oxide, Sodium Chloride, Magnesium Carbonate, Copper Sulphate, Sodium Carbonate, Ammonium Hydroxide.

Open in App
Solution

Dear Student,

Formula Unit mass for

Zinc Oxide, ZnO = 65 + 16 = 81g/mol

Sodium Oxide, Na2O = 2(23) + 16= 62 g/mol

Sodium Chloride, NaCl = 23+35.5 = 58.5 g/mol

Magnesium Carbonate, Mg(CO3)2 = 24 + 2(12 +3×16) = 144 g/mol

Copper Sulphate, CuSO4 = 64+ 32 + (4 × 16) = 160 g/mol

Sodium Carbonate, Na2CO3 = 2× 23 + 12 + 3 × 16 = 106 g/mol

Ammonium Hydroxide, NH4OH = 14 +4 ×1+16+1 = 35 g/mol
